Learn
more about your Contract.
ADVERSE ACTIONS
Adverse Actions are
disciplinary matters such as termination from your job, a
demotion, a suspension or a letter of reprimand or a counseling
memo. If you have been served by your department with an
adverse action contact the
Member
Resource Center.
MERIT APPEALS

and civil service exams (both written and oral). If you
have any questions concerning an appeal of 'merit issues',
please contact the
Member Resource Center.
BARGAINING ISSUES
Bargaining
issues include questions relating to current contract
negotiations, questions about recently negotiated agreements and
bargaining proposals from both the state and the union.
If you have questions
concerning matters related to bargaining, please
contact the District Bargaining Unit Representative (DBUR)

MEMBER RESOURCE CENTER
TOLL-FREE
1-866-471-SEIU
(7438)
Representatives are available Monday - Friday, 7am - 7pm
If staff from the
Member Resource Center are unable to resolve your issue right
away, you may be referred to a local steward in your
worksite or for more complex issues, you may be referred to
a union staff member.
Stewards are your
fellow state employees who have been certified by the union to
represent you at the worksite. Most worksites have
stewards assigned to them. However, stewards from other
locations may be assigned to represent you as well.
When a steward
represents you, the steward is considered by law as an equal
to management. Accordingly, your steward can communicate
with management in a way that you as an employee cannot. For example, your steward may raise her/his
voice to make a point, request documents, etc. The law and
our contract provide protections to stewards so that they can
effectively represent you.
EXECUTIVE
BOARD (E-BOARD)
Our DLC is
administered by an Executive Board ('E-Board') elected by
members of the DLC. The DLC officers, the local
bargaining representatives and the senior steward of each
of the DLC's local worksites comprise the
E-Board.
